My experience at Butcher and Singer was beyond expectations! The restaurant was beautiful and service could not have been better. Beef tartar was refreshing, and the recommended stuffed hash browns were perfectly buttery and crisp. The steaks were cooked and seasoned well, while the true star of the evening was the Lemon ice box cake! This was a very memorable meal I’ll never forget, the hype is truly justified.

Food: Delicious. We ordered several variations of steak and seafood and appetizers with large shareable style sides. The food did take quite some time to prepare but it was hot and everything seasoned well. The biscuits were a stand out, flaky buttery, perfect. I ordered salmon with the scallops. The scallops were a $22 add-on, volume wasn't worth the price but overall good food. Service: A reservation was made approx a week prior for a group of 8. Our reservation was for 6:30, we arrived at 6:15 and were seated around 7:20. The lobby was busy and there was no seating at the bar or the general area by it. We had to linger outdoors until our table was ready. It was approx. 90 degrees that day and fresh out a meeting so a tad bit inconvenient. The waiter was friendly but distracted due to the busy state of the restaurant. Atmosphere: Clean, dark, vintage style, business casual attire, moderately loud but not overbearing. I will likely return as I travel to the area independently however not certain if I would select this location for large group dining. Positive experience overall.

I absolutely love everything about this place. The atmosphere seems like it's from a Bogart film and the service is top tier. My Chilean sea bass was buttery rich and seemed to melt on the tongue. It was as decadent as a fish could ever be. To Stephen Starr, please never close this one. I can't wait to return.

Been to steakhouses all over the country and nobody hits opulence and elegance like B&S. Dark lighting, jazz music, and ridiculously tall ceiling gives roaring 20s vibes. The crab cake was virtually all lump crab meat. Delicious. We had the filet and scallops and the delmonico. Steaks were cooked perfectly and worth every penny. The au poivre sauce on the side was decadent. The biscuits to start are special and the turtle cheesecake we got Togo gave the hotel an extra star. 10/10 experience

Philadelphia honestly doesn’t get enough credit for how incredible its food scene is, and Butcher & Singer completely proved that to me. From the moment we walked in, the whole experience felt special, classic atmosphere, beautiful space, attentive service without ever feeling overwhelming. I have to start with the biscuits because I’m still thinking about them. I used to live in Nashville, Tennessee, a city famous for amazing biscuits, and somehow these were the best biscuits I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly warm, buttery, soft, and unforgettable. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The baked oysters were fantastic, the lobster tail was cooked perfectly, and the steak was exactly what you hope for when you go to a great steakhouse, rich, flavorful, and executed flawlessly. It was also my first time trying Baked Alaska, something I’d always been curious about, and it completely lived up to the anticipation. It was spectacular and instantly became one of my favorite desserts I’ve ever had. The entire evening felt elevated yet comfortable, the kind of restaurant that stays in your memory long after you leave. Butcher & Singer is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Philadelphia, and I already can’t wait to come back.

The food was amazing here. The service was amazing, they accidentally gave us an extra strawberry sorbet but said it’s on the house. The delmonico steak was the best steak i’ve ever had, caramelized on the outside and tender on the inside. Fantastic experience!

Celebrated my love’s bday for our weekend in Philly March 7th! Arriving inside it was such a beautiful interior design. We were greeted kindly and made our way to the bar area as we wait for our table. We ordered drinks, but was surprised that our table was ready so we were lead to our table. Our waiter (which I have forgotten his name) was phenomenal and I’m kicking myself for not remembering. He was great in all around service! We had the bone in ribeye for two with the recommendation of the potato hash & asparagus. 10/10! We also enjoyed the key lime cake. Wow wow wow! From atmosphere to service and overall experience we are definitely coming back & of course sending our friends all from Jersey to go as well!

10/10 Hands down. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and when I say everything was just... so so great. The food was amazing and the service, my goodness this place is great. I ordered the 12oz filet. Every bite was PERFECT, the cook was magnificent!
